How do I get a library card?

You may sign up for a card at no cost either in person, or register online if you're a resident of the 53032 zip code.

To apply in person, you'll need a photo ID with your name and current address, such as your driver's license or state ID.  If the address is not current, bring a photo ID, plus an official document that lists your name and current address. We will accept real estate tax bill, current residential lease, current utility bill, current bank statement, paycheck, or other unexpired government documents.

Online registrants will need the above documentation when they arrive at the library to pick up their card.

How do I know what my password/PIN is?

Your password/PIN is usually the last four digits of the telephone number you gave when registering for your card, or whatever you requested the staff member to make it.  Staff is unable to see your current password/PIN, but they'd be happy to reset it for you.  You may also control your password/PIN while logged into your account in the online catalog.

How do I reserve a library item?

You may request an item by clicking "Place Request" when searching the monarch Catalog.  We can notify you by telephone, email, or text when it is available for pickup.  To place a hold by phone, call the library at 920-485-3535.  When your item arrives we will hold it for 7 days.  Items not picked time frame are returned without any notification.

How do I cancel a request?

You may cancel an active request by logging into your account online.  Once an item is held for pickup you may only cancel it in person or by phone.  

How do I suspend/reactivate a request?

You may temporarily suspend some or all of your requests at any time by logging into your account.  When you reactivate a request, it will return to the same position on the waiting list as before the suspension.

How do I renew items?

You may renew material in person at the circulation desk, by calling the library or logging into account in the online catalog.  

Most items are eligible to be renewed twice. However, renewals will not be permitted if there is a waiting list. The new loan period begins on the date of the renewal.

How do I get materials not in the Monarch catalog?

If you can't find what you're looking for in the Monarch catalog, the library will attempt to Interlibrary Loan the materials for you.  Click here to go to the website to fill out our online form.  A staff member will contact you when your item has arrived or if it is unavailable.  Alternatively, you may request us to activate a Patron Initiated account for you in WISCAT, the online Wisconsin Library Catalog.

How do I replace a lost card?

You may get a replacement card at the circulation desk.  A $2 fee may apply.

How do I use the internet at the library?

The library has 5 computers with internet access.  You will need your library and password/PIN in order to log in.  Each user is allotted 1 hour but may stay on for up to 3 hours if no one is waiting.

Or, if you have a wi-fi-enabled device such as a laptop, phone, or tablet, connect to the Library WI-FI network, and acknowledge the library's internet use policy. No password is required.  Cafe tables with easily accessible charging stations can be found in the audiobook section of the library.

How do I make photocopies, scan, scan to email or fax?

The library has a copier available to the public that also scans and faxes.  Photocopies are .25 for B/W and .50 for color per printed side.  Scans/emails are .25 per side. Faxes are $1 per page to send and .50 per page to receive. Please ask a staff member for assistance.
